After reading a bit in the new HORDES expansion Metamorphosis I got inspired to paint some of the Circle of Orboros Models I have in the closet (tbh…. I got a Circle army too).
I really got inspired by the new warlock Mohsar, the idea of a desert Circle army is forming in my head.
So here’s the result, some speedpainted Circle models in desert theme. It’s only the Woldwatcher thats completely finished, the Mannikins and Sentry Stone needs a little bit more work and ofc. the bases.
Just wanted to show that the blog is still alive 😉
I haven’t painted very much the last couple of weeks, due to the lack of energy after I picked op sports again. I started Thai Boxing after an almost 8 year long break, damn this is tough! But now I’m finally getting energy back 😀
To get back in the painting game again, I had my friend Frederik “Stunke” Beyer over for a small “painting & cake “session (thx to my wonderful wife for the delicious chocolate cake, you really are the best!).
I worked a little more on my 40k Eldar projekt and on a Freebooter Huntress mini I’m planning to paint for display use. Frederik did some work on his Warhammer Fantasy Chaos Knights Ebay thingy.
The important is, that I’m back at the paintstation, not how much I actually painted 😉
I’ve had an older Warhammer 40k Eldar army in the basement for a very long time without being able to find the motivation to paint it, or at least some of it. (I actually painted 6 old metal Dire Avengers a while back, will post pics soon).
BUT, my friend Ivan and I both want to game some more (aye, I know… Ivan and I talk a lot), and since Ivan is a sucker for Warhammer 40k and I actually already got an army, I decided to to something about it and start painting some Eldar.
I’ve started with the Farseers and Warlocks, excellent mini’s! I’m really enjoying to paint these mini’s, I’m aiming for a good tabletop quality that doesn’t take to long to achieve. So there’s actually hope ill finish some of this army this time 😉
It’s not that I haven’t painted anything lately or forgot about this blog, I just haven’t finished any of the projects yet (mental note: maybe I should post WIP pics).
Ok, that’s not entirely true, as a little personal challenge I painted a HORDES Trollblood Warpack at the Danish WM/H Nationals. It took me 10 hours and 10 minutes (including pauses). They turned out rather good, but I’m going to do a little touching up before ill post pics of them
Currently I’m working on 2 models for a painting competition hosted by Dragons Lair, my HE eBay project and A lot of other stuff.
I had this army lying around for so long… BUT now is the time to do something about it!
I’m planning to go to a gaming weekend at the next “Random Encounters Gameclub” meeting, a little private social event my friend Thorbjørn and his homies run. Thorbjørn was the one who re-introduced me to Epic scale gaming again, I played it before a long time ago, and so what would be more perfect than to be able to bring a fresh fully painted army 🙂
Enough with the babbling… on to the important stuff… the minis!
I decided to make a few test models because I tried to paint the army before, but was never really happy about the result. This time I think I got it! I’m going for the regular Biel-Tan look, green and white. Luckily it turned out well (at least I think so), so this is how it’s going to look (still need to do bases and apply warnish):
I posted this on my old page to, but I love this lamp so much I just had to post it again here 😀
My wonderfull wife gave me this daylight lamp for christmas… and it’s the best gift ever! Not only because every miniaturepainter should got one of these, but also because my wife had sworn she’d never get me hobby stuff… but she did anyway. I REALLY love her!
Here are some pictures of my Cygnar Army. This is actually how the army started. I painted over a period of a month up to a tournament back in the beginning of 2007. As a sidenote I can mention that the Stryker battlegroup (Stryker, Charger, Lancer and Ironclad), was painted over a weekend.
Oh, and It actually won an award for “Best Painted Army” at the tournament =)
I have added several models since and are actually working on futher additions these days.
